The Bell Helmets brand recently switched hands once again after new owners Vista Outdoor Inc acquired it. Also part of the acquisition were several other brands by Vista Outdoor Inc from Bell Helmet’s parent company BRG Sport group.
BRG Sport reportedly sold its action sport business division, which includes the Bell Helmets brand, to Vista Outdoor in a cash deal worth US$400 million. With the sale, Vista Outdoor Inc will add its newly acquired BRG Sport brands such as Bell Helmets into its already extensive line up.
The multi-million dollar deal structure notably had post-sale performance clauses concerning the Bell Helmets brands. Reports suggest this will likely dictate that final price that Vista Outdoor will pay to BRG Sports.

American sources report that BRG Sports will the substantial sum of cash it acquired from this deal to further reduce its debts and balancing its accounts. This will also undoubtedly aid the group’s efforts in sustaining its sole remaining brand – Riddell sports helmets.
